In 2025 the phone rings the same way every week: Christie’s, Sotheby’s, Phillips, Bonhams, and two Geneva houses we cannot name. All asking the same question: “Do you still have anything clean above 30 carats?”
They know the answer before they dial. We never say yes.
Here is why they call, and why we will never sell:
- Global production of D/IF Type IIa rough above 100 ct has fallen 97 % since 2019
- Every single stone of this magnitude that reaches a brand is immediately locked into their own high-jewellery archives
- The auction houses have nothing left to headline their May and November sales
- They need a 30+ ct D IF Type IIa to save the season
We currently hold the last three privately negotiable stones of this size on earth:
- 42.18 ct emerald-cut D IF (pictured)
- 37.71 ct pear shape D VVS1
- 33.04 ct radiant D IF (old-mine proportions)
These stones were cut from rough we purchased directly inside DTC Botswana, Gaborone, under our permanent allocation. They will never carry a public estimate. They will never stand under auction lights. They will never appear in a catalogue.
They belong to one family, one foundation, or one collector, quietly, permanently, and without a single headline.
The auction houses already know this. That is why they keep calling, and why we keep hanging up.
If you are the buyer who never needs the world to know what you own, you already know how to reach us.
